Dilpreet is a labour and employment lawyer who always goes the extra mile for his clients. Understanding that no two cases are alike, he takes the time to know his clients’ priorities and develop a client-centered strategy. Dilpreet appreciates the challenges parties face when the employment relationship breaks down and aims to achieve an early and fair resolution whenever possible.
His years of experience as an insurance defence lawyer and representing large organizations gives him that strategic edge when representing individual employees. He began his legal career as an insurance defence lawyer where he litigated complex personal injury, disability and motor vehicle accident benefits claims on behalf of a variety of government ministries.
He is a tenacious advocate with demonstrated success both in and out of the court room. He successfully represented several institutional clients before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Bankruptcy Court, accident benefits tribunals, private arbitrators and at many mediations.
Previously, he worked in the legal department of a large multi-national company working on a variety of regulatory, human resources and corporate governance matters.
He earned his law degree from the University of Manchester (United Kingdom). When he was not hitting the books, he volunteered his time at the University’s legal advice clinic where he provided pro bono services to vulnerable individuals.
Before law school, Dilpreet completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto, with a major in philosophy. He was an active member of the student community and held office in student government. He was recognized for his public service and was awarded the Gordon Cressy Student Leadership Award.
Outside of the practise of law, Dilpreet enjoys playing with his dog, reading historical non-fiction, exploring the great outdoors with his wife and learning how to cook.
Dilpreet is fluent in French and Punjabi.
