I am being set up to fail at work. What are my rights?
I have dealt with many cases in which an employee has felt that they have been set up to fail. Either they are not given adequate resources, training to achieve certain metrics, or the metrics themselves are not realistic. In some cases, a manager may be acting in bad faith. I have had clients who are either faced with dismissal or they feel forced to resign because the workplace situation is so intolerable. In either case, the employee may have a claim for wrongful dismissal or constructive dismissal and could be entitled to significant compensation. If you find yourself in that situation, it is prudent to obtain legal advice.
